Why do I drink warm water with lemon every morning?


So, it's not just about the taste (I like it with a teaspoon of good quality honey) but also it has some great reasons and you might want to consider drinking it too :)


All fruits and vegetables contain something that is called "antioxidant".

Antioxidants are super important as they protect your cells from free radicals, which damage the body and are responsible for many diseases. Antioxidants help us to stay younger and have positive effects on our health. Starting your day with fruits and vegetables is a great idea, so let's talk about the benefits of water with lemon in the morning.


There is probably much more, but I'm sharing my 9 benefits of starting your day with lemon water


1. Water with lemon supports your digestive health, helps to flush digestive system and supports detoxification pathways


2. It provides wonderful hydration


3. Lemon contains Vitamin C which is an antioxidant, so it supports your immune health and it might help to protect you from the common cold


4. Water with lemon supports weight loss as it has a positive effect on the digestive tract


5. It helps the body to maintain it's pH, which has an important function in supporting your health, as the typical diet might be very acidic to the body


6. It helps to fight constipation. I strongly believe that your health starts in the colon. Regular, healthy habits of emptying your digestive tracts are crucial for your health and wellbeing.


7. It has a positive effect on your skin and keeps your skin glowing because of its antioxidants properties and Vitamin C


8. It might improve the gallbladder function and bile production which helps to digest fat


9. It helps with your overall energy levels


If you are a coffee lover and start your day with a cup of coffee, why not consider starting your day with a cup of warm water with lemon and honey and have your coffee after your first meal?

It might even improve your mood ;) Just squeeze a half of the lemon to your water in the morning and receive all of the benefits mentioned above.


The best is to use a reusable straw while drinking lemon water, as strong properties of lemon, might have negative effects on your teeth’s enamel.
